Officer Candidate Petition
At every conclave, the next year’s Section officers are elected by the lodges in attendance. In order to run for Section office, you must fill out the Section Officer Petition, have it signed by your parent, lodge adviser, and scout executive. Signed petitions are due to the Section Adviser the Sunday before conclave.
The Section Guidebook must be read and reviewed before submitting your petition for Section office. It has information about the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of a Section officer.

As a Section Officer, you represent a combination of lodges (not just yourself as an individual), and it’s important that you look the part to ensure your section looks good!
Within this document, you’ll find the most up-to-date guidelines for what Section Officers are expected to wear. At all times, the Guide to Insignia should be followed, as well as any local or directed guidelines.
